ABOUT ME
Hi there!, and thanks for looking at my website radiographytutor.com
My name is David Tapura a determined, enthusiastic and experienced diagnostic radiographer available for tutoring. I Qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer from the University of Derby and I have always had a passion for teaching and helping other students achieve their goals. Having finished University a few years ago one thing that I still and will always understand is how it feels to be student. This is one of my biggest motivation to also want to help other students. I believe that I am a great teacher in technique and exam preparation and my biggest attribute is the ability to tailor my teaching to the individual. I think this is very important as it brings the best out in the student
I also believe that being relatively young and fresh makes me more approachable, and I have particularly noticed this when teaching other students on their clinical placements as students often felt more comfortable asking me questions. I always ensure that students fully understand the theory aspect of their questions before progressing further, as it is always essential to grasp basic concepts first, particularly in radiography.
I look forward to meeting and helping all those aspiring radiographers :-)
MY BOOK
Theatre and mobile Radiography a Guide For Students and Newly qualified Radiographers is a handy and simple quick guide and reference text that introduces radiography students to the principles of theatre and mobile imaging. The text covers common surgical procedures, imaging techniques and practical information on working in the operating theatre. The book is illustrated with easy to visualise diagrams of how to position the C-Arm for some of the most common surgical procedures. Each section covers the surgical procedure, C-Arm approach techniques and examples of resulting images. The book covers surgical procedures in orthopaedics, urology, hepatobiliary, spinal and guided injections. At the start of each section there is a description of the surgical procedure followed by a quick and easy bulleted description of how the patient is positioned, positioning and direction of the C-Arm and the most common projections. The book also covers some of the principles of mobile imaging and provides useful tips on how to achieve the best possible mobile chest images for adults and neonatal patients.
